Stuck!? February 1st challenge: Rébi cachée (derrière ses soeurs)

This picture was taken on May 18th 2006, some 12 hours before my brave and strong sister gave birth to twin girls. Her older daughter (Rébi) cuddled against her on the sofa, it almost seemed as if she was hiding behind her sisters... Therefore the title: "Rébi cachée"

Here is my layout: Rébi cachée

And here is the beautifull sketch which (finally) gave me the spark to use this picture, from Stuck!?Sketch February 1st. Go check out the new challenge and amazing prices they drae each month.

LGS Jan week 3 sketch: a star is born

Happy Wednesday (hump day) to all creative minds!
January is almost over… already !?! Going back to work didn't give as much time to scrap as I did during the Holidays but I couldn't resist this sketch : January Week 3 LGS Sketch Challenge which was created by Bev Code
What drew me immediately to it were those rick-rack elements… I love how they frame the pictures and I had this turquoise ribbon which was perfect !  I dug out pictures taken in 2004 when my goddaughter was born, and made this sweet layout using prima flowers and LilyBee design papers and sticker, letters were originally white (American craft) but I used a black sharpie to change the colour.
My layout: a star is born

Thank you very much Paper Issues and Stuck!?

In december 2013, I was one of the super lucky winner of a drawing on the Stuck!?Sketch blog  December 1st 2013 challenge:

The first sponsor was Paper issues  who offered a $20.00 gift certificate to their store!
I can't tell you how thrilled I was when I saw my name as the winner, and immediately contacted the Stuck! enthusiastic team and went browsing.

Here is what I purchased and received today, in a beautiful wrapping (top left picture) with a personalized note  (bottom right picture)

Thank you so much Paper Issues and Stuck!

L7F défi B de Décembre: Alice Trottine

I had fun with the December challenge B from Lucky 7 Factory : using sequins ! They seem to be everywhere these days and I must say they add quite a nice touch to layouts. I used Bazzil cardstock and 2 brands of patterned paper for this layout: Lucky 7 Factory “Automne en folie” and American Crafts Dear Lizzy . Amongst the embellies, you can see two  sequins companies : Prima and ArtMinds.

Here is the page I made : Alice Trottine

This picture was taken in 2007 and I stumbled on it while cleaning up some of my scrapbook papers… I like when that happens, don’t you ?

December Week 4 LGS sketch: Just saying Hi !

I have done a layout today using the Let's Get Sketchy (LGS) December week 4 sketch and some old papers from Basic Grey (Max and Whiskers collection).  I used both sides of my papers to add more pattern, and because I had not much left… but I like the white space!  I also cut some elements with my Cricut (circle, title…) and added a lot of Dylusion to create this hue. I used the extra from that mix and paint brushed it on the back with a Crafter's workshop stencil.

The embellishments are a mix of Basic Grey "Max and Whiskers" with some Studio Calico and Prima Wood chips, pearls, buttons, washi tape… here is the result:

LGS December week 3: 11 mois

This past thursday marked the beginning of my well deserved 2 weeks holiday vacations. These past few months have been hectic… so I decided to take it easy for at least 4 first days: take care of myself, rest and relax and that wouldn't be happening without a little scrapbooking.
(Except for the fact that Mother Nature decided we would be drowned in snow and freezing rain so I still have my daily exercise by going outside and shovelling … I have to admit it's a bit much…)

Please let me share this layout about my Australian Sheppard dog Melba enjoying the winter weather and the warm sun

I used a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy December week 3. This team of creative ladies is soooo sweet… Go check out what they did here
